This work provides a presentation of Simone Weil's life, work and her contributions to feminist thought. The authors seek to make her complex and sometimes elusive ideas accessible to readers, and offer their own interpretation of her work, delineating how Weil's ideas evolved.Long before postmodern or deconstructionist ideas became current, Simone Weil was concerned with recognizing the absence of consistency and the continual presence of reversals and contradictions in life.
