Justin Marshall by Justin Marshall

Justin Marshall From his turbulent teenage years - where brushes with the law were almost commonplace - Justin Marshall matured to become one of the most respected and faithful servants of All Blacks and Canterbury rugby. The highest capped back in All Blacks history, he remains today the most dominant force behind the scrum in the New Zealand game. His 24 test tries are a record for a New Zealand halfback, more than doubling the next best, the 10 scored by 'Super' Sid Going. Since his international debut for New Zealand, against France in 1995, Marshall has gone on to play 77 tests and in 2005 is certain to overtake Ian Jones (79) as the second most capped All Black of all time, behind the legendary Sean Fitzpatrick. Marshall's story will be a warts and all account of his humble upbringing in Gore to his celebrated clashes with players and, in his early years, both rugby and civil authorities. His prerequisite for publishing his autobiography is that it be honest in all areas. He wants to lay bare the facts about his early misdemeanours and set the record straight about his relationships with both players and coaches alike.
