A resource of facts and figures about life in modern Egypt. It is divided into six topical chapters on the land, culture, society, politics, economy and industry. Each chapter is then divided into further detailed articles written by journalists and researchers in Egypt.
This 2001 edition of the almanac contains 125 articles, 244 colour photographs, and 113 graphs, tables and maps, as well as contact and reference sections. Thirty-nine experts and artists contributed to the work, including Tarek Atia, Salima Ikram, Max Rodenbeck, Norbert Schiller, Sherif Sonbol and Nicholas Warner. |
